My career goals are focused on continuing to grow as a social worker and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. After graduating with my BSW, I plan to begin working in the social work field, ideally at MDHHS, where my internship placement is. I want to pursue working with Child Protective Services and Foster Care where I can continue building my skills and gain hands-on experience. My internship has shown me how challenging but important this work is, and it has motivated me to keep learning and improving. Long-term, I hope to build a stable and fulfilling career where I can advocate for children, make a difference within the system, and continue developing as a professional. I also want to focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance and practicing self-care so that I can sustain a long, successful, career in social work.
